General Meeting Minutes Next Chapter Meeting – 4/05/06

Attending: John Hequemborg, Pat Schaefer, John McGrath, Bob Drainer, Scott Dressel, Susan Hart, Jim Heckemeyer, Eric Lidholm, Larry Madore, Hank Fulmer, Jason Gerling, John Sutherland, Kevin Vantuyl, Jason Ewalt, Nathan Hutchison, Jim Morris, Matt Trachsel, Keith Miller, Mark Schultz, Larry Hubbard and Mike Berendzen, (speakers).
1. John McGrath reported chapters account balances as of 3/1/06.
a. Checking $7,468.42 b. Savings $15,000.00 plus interest
2. There was no quorum for February Board meeting.
3. Awards Committee reported scholarship applications are due by April 1.
4. Bylaws Committee had no new report.
5. NCR reminder on National Convention in Las Vegas. Any nominations for regional awards need to be submitted.
6. Certification Committee reported that 2 members(Jason Gerling and Susan Hart) are registered for the CDT exam on March 25th -9:00-11:00 a.m.
7. Program Committee and Technical Committee reported April 12th date set for program on Implementation of new Master Format cosponsored by CSI and AIA. Dennis Haug scheduled as speaker at UMC General Services Training Center with capacity of 100.
8. Golf Tournament Committee had meeting at Triple B Doors on February 12th. Meadowlake Acres has been approved as the course this year on July 31st.
9. Membership reminded to read updates on the CSI webpage. Submit any new information to Electronic Communications Committee (Amanda at Bob Cunningham’s office.
10. 2006-07 officer nomination schedule will be e-mailed this month to board members by John Hequembourg
11. Winner of drawing for free breakfast at April meeting was Jason Gerling.
12. Membership Committee, Scott Dressel and Matt Trachsel presented program on what CSI can do for you.
13. Speakers: Larry Hubbard (UMC) and Mike Berendzen (State Facilities Management) presented program on the states construction forcast.
