CSI BREAKFAST MEETING MINUTES
July 10, 2002

  1. Scott Dressel called the Regular Meeting of the Central Missouri Chapter to Order at 7:50 AM.

  4. The meeting minutes from the June 5, 2002 were not available to be read at this meeting. However, they were reviewed at the last board meeting.

  5. Bob Drainer presented the Treasurer's Report and the summary is as follows:

    Deposits $6,845.00 Golf Tournament
    Checks ($200.00) Eagle Knoll for Breakfast 6/5/02
    Ending Balance $10,414.07
    CD $3,000.00
    The Treasurer's Report was approved.

  7. Committee Reports
    1. No formal Membership Report was presented, however, Scott reported that during the CSI National Conference, they reported that the national membership was down from previous years. Our Chapter has to endeavor to maintain our current membership.
    2. No formal Program/Education Committee was presented, however, Scott handed out a copy of the upcoming years Program Schedule along with a Survey asking what the membership wanted in the way of Programs for the upcoming year.
      Jim Morris passed out the flyer and talked about the upcoming joint program with CSI and AIA. This has been scheduled for July 30,2002. This will be a lunch program and the Program is on the new "MasterFormat Expansion" beyond the current 16 Divisions.     1. No formal Report was presented for the Bylaws Committee
    2. No formal Report was presented for the Newsletter Committee, however, Scott reported that he received the June/July Newsletter from Susan Hart yesterday.
    3. No report was presented for the Awards Committee
    4. No formal report was presented from the Certification Committee. Scott did say that our Chapter was recognized at the National Convention for meeting our goal for the number of people participating in the Certification Program based on the size of our Chapter. Good job John.
    5. Willie Sandin reported that our Chapter Website is now up an running. Our Web address is www.csicentralmo.org. If anyone wants something posted on our Website they can e-mail Willie at mw-engrs@socket.net and he will see that it get posted. Greg responded that he will be sending both the Board and Regular Meeting minutes to be posted on our Website.
    6. There was no report for the Product Show, however, Maggie reported on the Golf Tournament. The Golf Tournament will be on July 22, 2002 at Meadowlake Acres Country Club. Currently we still have space for 5 more Teams. We are still 6 Sponsors short for both the Tee Boxes and Greens. The amount of door prizes to be given away is also down. We encourage our membership to help as much as possible. This is our Chapter's major fund raising event and supports both the Habitat for Humanity and our Scholarship Program. If you want to volunteer we will be having another meeting at 5:00 PM on July 15, 2002 at Boone Tavern in Columbia.
    7. Scott reported that Brice Moeller (NCR Director) had a telephone conference with the other NCR Directors and will be reporting on this at a later date.

  • The North Central Region Conference will be held in St. Louis on August 1 - 4, 2002.
  • Jim Morris talked about the upcoming joint meeting with AIA

  • Scott handed out the Central Missouri Chapter Organizational Chart for 2002 - 2003.

    This was an open forum discussion on how business is going. The general consensus is that due to the current budget restraints, the construction industry is slow.
