Attending: John Hequembourg, Jason Gerling, Seth Evans, Pat Schaefer, John McGrath, Sherry Baker, Donald Post, Doug Hamilton, Jerry Thompson, Susan Hart, Andy Bonderer, Larry Brandhorst, Jim Cooley, Bob Drainer, Scott Dressel, Dennis Kidwell, Jim Dove, Mark Schultz, Mark Temple , Steve Layne (Scholarship Recipient)and Matt Trachsel, (speaker).
1. John McGrath reported chapters account balances as of 11/02/05.
a. Checking $8205.74
b. Savings $15,000.00 plus interest
2. No October Board meeting.
3. Membership committee reported two prospective new members.
4. Upcoming programs: December – Electronic Submittal Program, speaker will be Brian Rockey and January program will be on Project Closeout Documents. Special thank you to Brad Copeland and Scott Dressel for continued efforts on Program Committee.
5. Certification Committee announced applications available from Susan Hart and Greg Wack. Possible 3 members taking certification tests at this time. Test will be in late March.
6. Golf Tournament Committee received $60.00 from sale of beer left over from the tournament.
7. Andy Bonderer (Awards Committee) introduced Steve Layne, scholarship recipient, a student at UMC and intern at Professional Contractors and Engineers. Steve thanked membership for the scholarship and spoke of his plans to continue work at PC&E after earning his degree. CSI also received a certificate from Linn State Tech in appreciation for the scholarship program.
8. Electronic Communications reminder to check out website and update draft strategic plan.
9. One new board member is needed to fill vacancy.
10. Susan Hart presented Bob Drainer an appreciation plaque for being CSI president last year.
11. November breakfast winner was Jim Cooley.
12. Speaker: Matt Trachsel, Builders’ Plan Room on Electronic Plan Room.
