CSI BREAKFAST MEETING MINUTES
September 4, 2002

Scott Dressel called the Regular Meeting of the Central Missouri Chapter to Order at 7:50 AM.

Those in attendance are as follows:
Scott Dressel, Greg Wack, Jim Cooley, John Murray, Willie Sandin, John McGrath, Pat Schaefer, Seth Evans, Bill McHugh, Jerry Thompson

The meeting minutes from the July 10, 2002 were distributed, reviewed and approved as submitted.

Bob Drainer was not in attendance at the meeting. Greg Wack reviewed what Bob had presented at the Board Meeting.

The Treasurer's Report was approved.

Committee Reports

Currently our Chapter has 59 members. General discussion concerning the strategic plan is how to increase membership. This is one of our goals for this year. Jerry Thompson stated that we should put an emphasis on both Owners and Facility Managers.

No formal Program/Education Committee was presented. Scott reported that he and Brad Copeland are meeting on Friday to work on the upcoming Programs. The other item on the strategic plan is an emphasis on top Quality Programs even if it means paying for speakers.

No formal Report was presented for the Bylaws Committee. Scott will make copies of the current Bylaws and pass out at the next meeting.

No formal Report was presented for the Newsletter Committee, however it was decided to put the Newsletter on our Website.

No report was presented for the Awards Committee. Scott reported that the deadline for a Regional Award is December. Scott will be taking to John McGrath.

As reported by Scott at the last meeting, our Chapter was recognized at the National Convention for meeting our goal for the number of people participating in the Certification Program based on the size of our Chapter. John's goal is to get 50% of our Chapter's members certified.

Willie Sandin reported that our Chapter Website has been updated. Our Web address is www.csicentralmo.org. It was decided that each of the member's names and Companies will be listed on the Website. However, contact information such as phone numbers or e-mail addresses would not be listed. However, if an individual wants this information published, they should contact Willie. If anyone wants something posted on our Website they can e-mail Willie at mw-engrs@socket.net and he will see that it get posted. Willie must receive all Website changes and updates by the third Tuesday of each month.

There was no report for the Golf Tournament. Jim Cooley reported that the mini Trade Show will be held on October 22, 23 or 24th. The show will be held in Columbia but the exact location has not been determined.

Old Business

During this year, Scott wants to work on and finalize our Chapter's S trategic Plan with the main goal and emphasis on membership and Programs.

New Business

Jim Cooley passed out a flyer announcing the upcoming "School Buildings Workshop" to be held in St. Louis on September 30 through October 1, 2002.
