General Meeting Minutes Next Chapter Meeting – 10/05/05
September 7, 2005

Attending: John Hequembourg, Sam Goldammer, Jason Gerling, Seth Evans, Brad Copeland, Bob Drainer, Matt Trachsel, Scott Dressel, Pat Schaefer, Jim Cooley, Tina Brown, David Craigg, Andy Bonderer, John McGrath, Jerry Nevins and Stephan Johannesmeier (speakers).

1. John McGrath reported chapters account balances as of 9/07/05.

a. Checking $3401.42
b. Savings $15,000.00

2. August Board meeting minutes approved with addition of November program on electronic plan room.
3. Membership still a big focus for the next couple of months; Matt thinks updates on membership renewals are needed.
4. Upcoming programs: October – Steel Fabrication, speaker from Delong’s and November – electronic plan room, speaker is Matt Trachsel
5. Certification Committee is needing more applicants for the CDT exam.
6. Golf Tournament was a great success. Expected revenues are $4682.50.
7. North Central Region Award presented to Brad Copeland for outstanding service in scheduling CSI programs.
8. National ascessment will remain the same as increase was voted down. Central Mo chapter ranks 3rd in our region in member retention.
9. Membership was reminded to update draft strategic plan as needed.
10. National show on doors and hardware was announced. Sponsored by the Door and Hardware Institute Sept 12-17 in St Louis, MO
11. No October breakfast winner since Woodhenge sponsored September meeting’s breakfast.
12. Speaker: Stephan Johannesmeier on Structural Insulated Panel Systems and Jerry Nevins on Timber Framing.
